Not to ruin the surprise or anything, but this post is going to center around this gorgeous African print maxi skirt. I got this skirt made about two years ago when I was back home in Zimbabwe, by a very talented young lady who owns Anaia Fashion based in Harare. She picked the material for me and I absolutely love it because the print is simple yet dramatic, thank goodness, because crazy prints are not for me lol.

I haven't had a chance to wear this particular outfit yet, however, when I wore this maxi skirt for a formal dinner at school I got a lot of attention, this skirt sure does serve the drama! If I would choose anywhere to wear this particular outfit though, I would say a wedding or some other event of significance. For me, this is not something I would rock everyday.

I really challenged myself with look, I am all about less is more and most of my skirts are form fitting but I was ready to try something different. The skirt is a lot so I added the black crop top to mellow it down and also add that playful touch I live for. Overall, I really enjoyed this shoot, I stepped out of my comfort zone and enjoyed every moment of it. The location was so beautiful and peaceful and I felt every bit an African queen, loved it!
