PRIMARK Grey Fur Coat | MISSGUIDED Black Long Sleeved Top | AMERICAN APPAREL Black Riding Pants | SIMMI Black Ankle Boots
When I was growing up, my dad brought my mom a fur coat from one of his trips to Moscow and that is how I fell in love with fur. It was soft, glam and it screamed , 'I have arrived'!
The problem is, I love animals dearly so I figured this was not the way for me to go. BUT....about two years ago I was shopping at Primark ,of all places, when I found this GEM. Everything after is a blur, all I know is that it came home with me:)
The coat is very precious to me and I have only worn it a handful of times since then. However, just looking at it hanging in my closet makes me oh so happy lol. For this look, I imagined what I would wear if I ever ended up in Moscow. I would want to look fierce and badass but also be ready to take on the cold in style.
I paired the coat with a low cut long sleeved top from Missguided and my riding pants (ofcourse). The all black combined with the icy grey of the jacket is sleek AF and to add EXTRA sleekness, I paired the outfit with my pointed Simmi boots. I wanted to look like a slay assassin and I believe I was successful. I hope I'll be lucky enough to actually travel to Moscow one day:)
And as a bonus, I will also leave a few of my favorite tips on How To Style A Fur Coat:
1. Try to keep it as simple as possible with the outfit you'll be wearing underneath your coat. Try to keep it one color - all black, all white - or something as simple as jeans and a t-shirt. The less you do, the more the coat will pop.
2. One of my favorite ways to style this coat is by wearing leggings and sneakers and an equally casual top. Its super comfortable but also super edgy and you immediately look like a show stopper when you enter the room.
3. Have fun with it! This is probably one of the most versatile items in your closet so don't be afraid to experiment with your looks, you can literally go from super glam, to comfy AF with this, give it a shot!
I hope that was helpful, until next time!
